Trying to install these. They're supposed to "stream" amber when indicating, and show a white DRL when not. It says to connect the red and yellow to the positive (which one's that? o_Oo_O) and the black one to earth. I can only get them to show a white light indicating though?

Normally Black= Earth/negative. Red = Positive/live and yellow normally indicator signal wire
Try connect black to Earth and touch red to positive,(white light) then try the yellow (indicator amber) see what results you get.

Thanks for that. The present indicator only has two leads though, black and white?

black to black , yellow to white
    Blue to bits

Nah just messing I would try as stated black to black, touch yellow to white (with indicator switch on )
worse result is you blow a fuse.

Unless you have a meter to check wires or even a test bulb

If I put black on black and red on white it flashes white. Any other combination does nothing... Oh and I've got a meter, but no clue as to how it works.. :confused:o_O

Sorted. I need an extra live lead, connect that to a switched circuit, put black on black and yellow on white. Just wondering where to get the switched lead from.

Is that the same results when swapping to another indicator ?

seems BLACK is Earth and your White is turn signal wire (through Flasher)
Its flashing white - shows Red is white DRL wire
therefore Yellow should be indicator wire (amber light)

But not working !!! o_O need another live

Maybe pinch a switched lead from headlights (so works continuous only with lights on) otherwise DRL's would be on constant

In the meantime please send me your meter :D, as easier to give away to a fellow member that can use it, rather than entering into intensive training on how to use it :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

That was my idea too - and I will have to take the fuel tank off to get the wires in place. Tnx Tez!

It's a 2005 speed triple. I've worked out how to measure current with the meter , so I'll find an appropriate lead.
