Keeping the proposal thread clean for proposals, put yer shite in here, debate mainland UK only as a venue for GMU's/ going oversea's, etc. Basically all the crap you've been talking in the France proposal thread but put it in here. It is so brilliant that the guys that have been to a GMU want to do it all over again, within days of getting back. Can't believe we have to have a banter thread up 11 months before we go !!!!!
Keep taking the medication dear, we'll wake you up when it's time for bikes and beer! Shit, it even looks like Crispey !!!!
I've a question - Did people prefer the Thur/fri/Sat/Sun of 2018 to the Fri/sat/sun/mon of 2017? Is it easier to book off work, etc ???
Thats a good point, also roads be quieter on a friday for the rideout, rather than doing them both at the weekend. I did 260 miles home in 4 hours from Wales, loads of motorway, but at them speeds kept you on yer toes

I’m not really bothered on location, once the group have decided I will book up and be there..... Wessa
Scotland wow Do they eat the same things as us and will I need Summer clothes or winter clothing. Can't wait think myself and the wife (Lisa) Will go for the Week Tucker
More to the point mate, what's the ale like. Both mate. Usually indoors is warm enough to get away with summer gear (three layers).
Scotland sounds good to me . I definitely think we should have the main GMU in the UK for ease of access for most members. I also think we should have at least one other International GMU like Germany this year. Nothing to stop other organised trips such as the Scottish Road trip as well.
It seems that we have now agreed that the GMU will be in the UK, I guess we now need to agree on the location..... Wessa
Only problem with Derbyshire and into Peak district (to find good roads) is the amount of traffic on the roads. We came through Buxton on the way down to Wales and it was just nose to tail traffic, that was on a wednesday morning. I might well choose the Dilli option on that one - stay in the bunkhouse and recover form the hangover, before going to the pub to get a new one !!!! The Lake District is the same, loads of accomodation, if you want to sit in 15 mile queue of traffic! Can filter if 1 or 2 of you, but not with 15~20 bikes and not make a total arse of it. I only live an hour from the Lakes, haven't been down there in 2/3 years it was so bad last time I did.
