I have fitted an Evotech Engine Guard to my 23 T120. It's a quality piece of kit which gives good cover to the front of the engine. It was reasonably easy to fit, although Gollum's finger would have been useful for the bolt securing it to the radiator.

I put the same 2 pieces on my 22 street twin, I left that top arm off, its well made and seems fine with just the two bottom bolts, and easier to take off to clean

@ManInTheJar: That cover looks great! I like the "Gollum's finger'!:joy:
It is like it was he past when you own a Peugeot. At those cars you needed some fingers with more finger joints to do some mechanical stuff.:p

The problem with a close fitting sump guard on the W/C twins is that it stops the flow of cooling air to the cat which results in it becoming exceptionally hot.
This causes a lot of heat soak into the motor making it run hot. It's even worse in warm weather, especially in traffic etc.
It's ok if you have an X-pipe fitted but otherwise it's a bad idea to fit one even if it does look nice.

Is it really a problem? After all Triumph offer one as an accessory which should have been thoroughly tested?

I bought the Triumph sump guard for my T120 Bonne and there are some differences to the EvoT but both are good quality stuffs:
    1. The front of the Triumph guard does not go up as high as the EvoT thus permitting air flow.
    2. There are four 1 1/4 inch diameter vent holes on the upper front of the Triumph guard for air flow.
    3. The Triumph guard is held in place by 4 allen bolts to predrilled fixing holes on the frame BUT the guard goes rearward long enough to cover the oil drain plug. To change the oil, I remove 3 of the bolts and swivel the guard out of the way. The oil filter is not covered. It looks like the EvoT does not go that far rearward to cover the drain plug and oil filter.

SPC1, my bike has the Tec 2 into 1 pipes on it so that shouldn't be a problem, I live on a gravel chipped up road and was hearing a lot of stuff hitting the engine otherwise I wouldn't have put them on

I put an Evotech on my Street Twin 5 or 6 years ago.

A fair amount of the black paint has now been chipped off, which is preferable to it being chipped off the engine.

Found a front fender extension on Ebay from Bobs Bike Stuff UK identical to ManInTheJar's:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/192722420757
Installed on my front fender; installs easily; held in place by supplied double sided tape and push rivets (need 4mm drill bit); solid; Happy Camper.

Oh, one last thing: T-bird, none of the Puig dealers in my area (Indiana, USA) carry the extension mentioned; even Triumph dealers (Cleveland, OH) do not carry the Triumph extension due to not being a big seller; but, T-bird, thanks anyway.
