    Found a suitable correct year head for my 70C at long last and had Patric at Seager Engineering sort the ex ports valves n guides for me so i can now finish the bikes off properly [​IMG]

    Thanx. Exciting bit is getting it fitted next week and finishing off the job as i should have a few years ago instead of making do with the head i had at the time :)

    Yes this one was :) some dry glass bead blasting, same result :)

    Managed to get the engine cleaned off and get the bike in the workshop and remove the cyl head :) A bit more cleaning and prep then the refurbished head can go back on.

    Head back on and one heat cycle, will retorque head and adjust tappets next week n finish off the job.

    For anyone doing a similar job, some factory info on head to tube seal crush. Figure given for crush is with gasket in place.

    I run my engines until i feel warmth in the oil/tank and some times use a fan if its warm, sorry if its a bit vague but that what i have done for years,
