Hiya! I removed the canister first and then the solenoid Took off the bracket then the hoses to the throttle bodies. Installed the blanking rubbers. Then, install the plug into where the solenoid was (cable went into a large loom) And switched on. Bike starts fine but has an error now but you just acknowledge it.
thats a long winded way if you haven’t solved the issue, as I believe it has to be 3 cold starts. Have you gone over the set up making sure all is ok? The EML will come on with the ignition then should go out when you start the engine, although I’m not sure you mean you can clear. Not used the RS setup
Hi joe, Well, i emailed them and they were no help whatsoever. Basically, they said that they've never EVER had any complaints and it's my error and to go away. I pointed out that even the instructions were wrong and they said there were two rs versions. There isn't. So, as it doesn't stop the bike working, i'll see if the dealer can eliminate the error when it's serviced in september. So, it's got an error on all of the time with a "check engine" light. ho hum
Sorry to hear that. Some what annoying. Can’t believe they didn’t offer any assistance!!! Wish I could assist more
Its started to work! I did the cold\warm start thing 3 times and light was still on. I resigned myself to the fact that a visit to the dealer\ignore it was looming. Went out yesterday and the light went off when I started it up again ! So, good news! Looking back at the whole thing, too stressful to recommend to others I think. As you said , even getting the evap bracket out was a pain. mine had a torx on one side and Allen on the other side.
Good news! I guess the job is just a little fiddly but it’s not that taxing. Strange the mixture of torx & hex. At least the EML has left you alone now....plus you got there in the end
