You need a volt meter to see what the battery volts are engine running....at idle it should read around 14v. Have you charged the battery.....only...
Bill is it slightly irregular.....metallic light tap.....Lots of the parallel wins have it. Come is very quietly.....gets louder and goes away...

That type is not great for a bonnie or me.....needs coolant holes chopping in half.....very little if any room for that.....stupid silly...
My water-cooled T100 engine has cylinder head cooling fins as well as liquid cooling.....so best of both worlds.
