About
One of those ultra-loony 12-month riders.
Got a thing for big torque-laden sport-tourers and in 2017 was finally able to lay my hands on a Sprint ST 1050, a bike I've lusted after for years.
Been riding for nearly ten years & had a couple of spills including a very serious one, but I still keep jumping back on the proverbial horse & am still as enthused as the day I started.
Has a terrible habit for getting very attached to my bikes and giving them names. I can tell you name of every single bike I've had (You've been warned!).
My 'Team':
Yes, I have enough bikes for a collective!
Along with my Sprint, which is my fair-weather daily machine, I own a 30 year old Honda CBR600F, although I feel more like a custodian given that there aren't many left and a few are actual museum pieces and not long acquired a well used (but decent condition) Honda Deauville 650 for Winter, although will use it to do a bit more daily work to keep the Triumph's mileage down.
Most memorable ride: Snake pass on a CBF125 with a friend on his Thruxton 900. He was cruising on some gorgeous mountain roads, I was steaming along as fast as I was (safely) able to but was completely within the speed limit. Finished with a huge great grin on my face. That much fun surely can't have been legal!!
It proved the saying that it can be more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slowly.Stats
