1st off, It`s been a while so hope your all ok & had a good christmas! 2013 25,000m say`s it`s got service history but what about recalls for cyl head rattle`s or anything else i should know about? Mot history is good. Thanks in advance
So,i take it there`s nothing wrong with the 1200 then due to the lack of replies Well. that bike sold before i got to it as he would`nt answer the phone. So today i went up to Staffs Triumph in Stoke to have a mooch. I tried a 1200,900 Tiger ,BMW 1200GS & a 1260 Multistrada. For me i found the 900 Tiger the best compromise for weight & comfort so thinking of going for the 900 Pro instead or 800XRT? Unfortunately they had`nt got one the right spec or price for me so i`ll see what comes along. I did read on here of problems with the TFT screen? Anything else to worry about chaps??
I've had no issues with the TFT but only had the bike since last may and it doesn't get left in any wet weather my brother has the 1200 and although he is bigger, younger than me has trouble getting his on the centre stand not an issue for me on the 900 and it is an accessory I'm glad is fitted to the GT Pro good mpg with a decent size fuel tank not anything else I can tell you about it really as I have had no problems and enjoy every minute riding the bike and have no intention of replacing it anytime soon Maybe with the 800 sport or 800 trident which is a totally different motor to the old 800
Another happy 900 gt pro owner here. Its the best tiger I've ever had. ( I've owned most tiger models over the years ). Tft screen is fine. Only problem with mine is the fact I've never got it to pair with my phone. Third world problems I hated the original metzelers fitted to it. Not good in the wet and they tramline too on poor surfaces. A set of road 6's transformed the handling.
Have you looked at the specific Tiger forums? Tiger 1200 Explorer - Worldwide Forum and Owners Club https://share.google/Dv3ViKQ3Q14GnmHIQ Triumph Tiger 800 / 900 Forum - Worldwide Forum and Owners Club https://share.google/l5ruwCyzmNzhvqvvv

Now i think on i have had some issues with pairing phones but that was down to the Chinese phone i had bought a Samsung and that cured that issue I have no issues with the Metzlers that are on the bike maybe I'm riding it wrong
Went to buy a Tiger 900 today but ....i was beaten to to it by a phone call! IF you really want a bike, ring up & reserve the bu$$a.Learn from my mistakes
Bit late to this thread. I agree to what the others have said. I love my 900GT Aragon, 2nd Tiger, had the 900GT before. On my second rear tyre, Tourance Next II, No issues. Had a slight problem with TFT being the fuel gauge would show empty, when in fact it was over half full. This happened twice, over two years, so not concerned. Good luck with your search.
Hmmm how do i say this... Yesterday i went to buy a Tiger 900 which already sold. Today looking around i`ve found another candidate. The Suzuki GSXS1000GX. Never seen one till yesterday but doing some homework on it earned it a place on the list. I need to ride one but it`s comfy engine sounds awesome & the price is fantastic. Servicing makes Ducati & Triumph definateley look like Dick Turpin!!! I know it`s a jack of all trades master of none but for what i want this thing makes sense. So when ive ridden one i may be Suzuki bound!?
I've changed my 900 GT for a GSX-S1000 GT last year and prefer it to the 900. I went for the GT rather than the GX as I wanted more of a sports tourer than an adventure bike, and prefer the lower seat height and non electronic suspension.
Those gsx motors are bombproof and Suzuki do a good gearbox paintwork and some of the designs used to let them down saying that they did the corona race paintwork which imo was one of the best paint schemes ever
