Been on a trickle charge since October, got fuel in , turns over , but won’t start. Can smell petrol, plugs are dry . What could the issue be?
@Mac07 Welcome to the family. Seems you need fresh petrol in there. Possible Lucas carb body cleaner. Trick i do often is remove the plugs and run fresh petrol down the bores just a cap full warm the plugs and restart. Make sure you have spark at the plugs as well
Not a problem of stale fuel then - are you getting a spark at the plugs? When you turn the ignition switch on can you hear the fuel pump priming? Have you accidentally caught the engine kill switch?
Got a spark at the plugs . Yet the plugs are dry , but a strong smell of fuel , but no point of originating from .
Thanks for putting me in the right direction. Pulled the the fuel lines from the tank off from were connects to the fuel injector rail. Turned on the power, was not instant fuel, but then fuel shot out. Re-connected, then tried to start the bike , spluttered first then fired up . Now running good. Thank you .
