This gave some Auckland riders a day ride The weather was clear so a fresh start and some wet roads from overnight frosts . Lake Rotorua was very calm and the trip across to Whakatane had a noticeable temperature drop. Whakatane reserve regroup, ready to check in at the motel.
Checked in and ready for a night at the Craic the food was hearty and seafood especially good Not too late with return trip tomorrow
