That Robin makes your mate Dave look like a skeleton. I was going to say a starving Biafran but you've got to be careful what you say these days.
Like when did that stop you. I nearly spat me chips out in Llangollen when you said “Oy , fat @rse, f&ck off”
It’s so refreshing to find someone willing to abuse my friends even though they’ve only just met them.
old mining place about 70km out of Alice springs I took these in the late seventies when I lived there
This is such a sad sight and I cannot perceive how the folk in India are coping with the levels of infection. It just emphasises how lucky we are here in the UK .
Agreed, not sure what makes some people tick. We have a beautiful country to explore. If people do holiday at home it will also provide a boost for the economy, and we definitely need that.
I thought India was largely a dirty hole? Going by what anybodys told me thats been there, slaughtering animals in the street and such? Not surprising a virus would run riot really. Still very sad for the people that are in the thick of it
I took these photos on my morning walk today. The saguaro cacti are doing their best to bloom in spite of our drought. These four photos are all of the same cactus--I wanted to let you see the cactus flower in the context of the while (huge) plant. That hole above the flower is used by birds for a nest. I love the desert. All saguaro flowers are white. Some cacti have different colored blooms (prickly pear for example) but not saguaros. All those buds by the open flower will probably be in bloom tomorrow morning or perhaps the next day at the latest. They don't last very long at all so we enjoy them while they last. I'd estimate that this cactus is about 18-20 feet tall. Check out the info below about saguaros. It would seem that this saguaro is probably at least 75 years old--probably older!
Only so many photos of Cornish beaches before it gets a bit boring, so........ Been to the States a couple of times with SWMBO (3 if you count a short business trip to Houston), last time was 2014, first time was 1999 and pre-dates my move to digital so not going to see any of them. All the shots will be from our last trip and for those interested taken on a Nikon D800 with AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm zoom (unfortunately reduced for uploading). So thought I'd start throwing in a few teasers and will reveal the locations along the way - our brothers and sisters across the pond are surely bound to recognise their own country.
Danik Vesnenok and Danila Utenkov fight during the "Top Dog" bare-knuckle boxing tournament in Moscow, Russia April 16, 2021. The fights are split by gender for women and men and involve three two-minute rounds.
It' sad to see the canal lock gates in such a state, there's a project for a conservation group. Nice view from your wifes bench.
