Looks great! (even with the apple green bit...) but I hope you didn’t have a "hot" drink with you which would then mean it was a picnic! Heresy!!!!

Ha.... no coffee, no picnic. This is part of the Ridgeway long distance pathway. Where we live, up in the Chiltern Hills, has become very popular with people getting their exercise. You should see how they park their cars...It’s like they all have to park as close to the access as is possible, no matter how dangerously they have left their cars. They are going for a walk ffs. Why not park them safely a few hundred yards along the road...? Thankfully we can just put our boots on and go..!

We went past a parking space on our Morecambe Bay coast yesterday and cars were jammed in at all angles yet another space 50 yards away was empty! Morons I tell ye!

Lovely winter scenes today off Birkrigg Common.
Set off in Defender to get stove fuel from near Newby Bridge. Had to avoid a car sliding down a hill towards me, towed an old lady as she was stuck ( she was in her car obviously:grinning:) then when I got to A590 the traffic was backed up everywhere due to a crash so turned around and went home again! You had quite the eventful trip, Dawsy! At least you got some beautiful photos out of the deal. :) And you did your good deed of the day by towing that old lady who was stuck.

Got to love those Defenders, proper 4 wheel drive and I’m guessing suitable tyres, not like the so called 4x4 Chelsea tractors all electronic this, electronic that, drive goes to the wheel with the most grip. Utter bollox.
