    Hello all, I'm new here this is my first post. I bought a brand new 2019 Speed Triple S and did the 500 mile break in service today and had the dealer fit a Triumph Quick Shifter. On my way home I was thrilled with it, until i went to change from 4th to 5th while about 60-75% on the power. A decently loaded shift up around 9k rpm's. It did a massive false neutral, scared me, so I went to try again, and again, and again. About 5 times in a row I was getting false neutral going into 5th. It would go in just fine if I wasn't giving it the berries.

    Did I damage my gear box? Why is it doing this?

    bike now has 630 miles on it.

    I'm gunna tell you straight buddy, your gear box has been damaged, deactivate the qs on the menu and get your money back asap, on the forum we have alot of threads about this and I can tell you now, I got rid of my rs because of this problem, 1500 running in miles taking mine to and from the dealer, by the end I'd just had enough of it.
    It's a shame because it's was a great bike.

    At a minimum these will need changing, please see attached picture.

    Slight update, I adjusted the shift pedal location down further to better insure that I'm using 100% of the pedal travel when I upshift (the dealer did not set it where I had it when I took it in), went for a short ride with about 8-10 rips through all the gears up to 6th at about 100mph and 4th to 5th and every other gear seemed fine and all clicked in great. Could it really have been that simple of a fix? You think a couple false neutrals damaged my gear box?

    Simply yes buddy, moving the gear shifter was tried and tested on mine at first, I had about 5-6 horrendous missed gear changes in total on my rs and that's all it took to ruin my gear box. :pensive:

    Do as you will but I'd disengage the qs, go to your dealer and get your money back, I know alot of people on here will disagree and will be disappointed in what advice I'm giving you here but I simply don't care, it's dangerous and it's not fit for purpose, all it creates is hatred for what is a good motorcycle.

    @MrTriple @SteveRS what's your advice fellas.

    Damn, yah that idea has been running around in my head, i had a KTM 1290 super adventure r before this bike and the QS on that was amazing. I could slam that thing all other the place and it was rock solid, never any hiccups. Ill probably just end up running it since its triumph factory and see what happens. still have 2 year warranty and lemon law XD

    Yeah I totally understand that buddy :)
    I'm just trying to limit the chance of you going down the same route I did with ownership, constantly at the dealer, zero enjoyment.

    Hopefully that's not the case. I'm going for a ride tomorrow and if it keeps it up I'm going to take it in and either have them tear down the trans and fix this or demand a new bike. Fingers crossed I don't have to go that route Thank you for the knowledgeable input and you past experiences.

    Be sure to keep us in the loop, Burkman. I’m curious to see how it goes.

    Same problem here with my 2019 (bought new in Aug 2020) RS speed in The Netherlands. The false neutrals started from 4th to 5th. Now from 3rd to 4th as well. Had 3 dreadful false neutrals banging in 5th after a split second, an unexpected on-off-on scenario with full throttle.

    Went twice to the dealer for readjustment software and gear shift lever (second time they put the gear shift lever in the original position again). Did a test ride today, 2 small false neutrals from 3rd to 4th, clutch - close throttle and just shift again.

    No muscle memory here (closing throttle unintentionally), only a pump in my lower arms and scared using the TSA/QS specially at higher speeds. Fun has gone. The bike needs to go back to Triumph but the dealer and or Triumph are not very much in a hurry I can tell…. Will contact the dealer tomorrow for the third time.
