I now think this is true. The chain I got was a 525ZVM-X, and the documentation for DID's official tool shows these chains have a bigger diameter pin and to make sure you have the tool head with 'the grove'. So it looks like they updated their tool to cope with the bigger pins on this chain and the copy of their tool I bought was a copy of the old DID tool. So other people should be aware of this.

Managed to get a last minute MOT on the T100 yesterday, so decided to ride over to the Elan Valley this morning in the forecasted heatwave. We set out at 09.00, wearing our summer perforated jackets, after all, the sun was due to appear at 10.00, so what was an hour of cool running? Arrived at Elan Village, shaking with cold. Had a quick run round the car park to warm up and continued up around the dams. Stopped for a snack in a howling gale and decided enough was enough. Headed home the same route, a little slower to reduce the wind chill. Got home at 15.00 bloody frozen. Pushed the Bonneville into the garage after putting the kettle on, made the tea and walked out into brilliant, life giving, hot sun...................

Fitted the TEC luggage rack to my Bonnie Scrambler - very nice, very quick & easy to fit, despite naff-all instruction for the bike.

The overall look of those Enfields is very pretty.
Not looked at one close up so can’t comment on the details.
It’s got a riding position that would suit old bones like mine, I think.

Hi Ken, yes the Enfield is pleasant on the eye and the riding position is just right for us older riders

    Fuck off you nosy cunt
Well, tried using the Sprint for the monthly prescription run today (I collect them and deliver to the local folk). Got 7 miles into the trip to the pharmacy to find that suddenly I have no back brakes. No pressure at the pedal, no fluid leaks, brakes not binding. Disc is clean.... Investigation required. So came back very gently...

Continued the trip using the Landy.

Going to order some new pads anyway, before I start, never hurts to change them when it's in bits anyhoo. Any other things to look out for? (1997 Sprint 900) Can you get seal kits still?

Unfortunately, the wooden plank of a seat is a spine killer! At least for this old fart...:eyes:
