I am very lucky and very proud to be the owner of CERBERUS my Rocket 3R But while I’ve been on lockdown in the garage with him and making the luggage system a couple of things have been bugging the shit out of me Firstly take a look at the brake line in the first picture The banjo had been tightened at quite an acute angle This was putting an unnecessary strain on the brake line Not a big problem for myself as I just slightly slackened it off and adjusted it to this position and matched it up with the clutch line No fluid was lost but to be on the safe side I tied the lever back overnight Glad to report no problem this one however I can’t do anything about until I get the chance to get upto Newcastle Triumph and point it out to them The Triumph logo on the back of the seat is way off centre and I can’t stop looking at the Feckin thing I’m gonna see about them replacing it
Nice job on the cables mate. Like you the off centre triumph badge would get on my nerves. Hopefully they will replace it...
Can see what you mean, they may have one they can change out for you but betting the whole batch was like yours, good luck with that though shy bairns and all that, May be interesting to see if others who own an R3 on here report the same wonky seat logo
I'm curious to see if much of that are widespread first year production irregularities. I would not be thrilled either especially at the price point those Rockets go for.
Probably wouldn’t have noticed it for a while because the bike only has a side stand But I’ve got the bike propped up level and with putting the seat on and off so many times whilst working on it, it was standing out more and more If they don’t replace it I’ll have to black it out or something cos I look at it every Feckin time now
Totally agree here. I've got rid of bikes for less (had to run down to the parking bay and then review photos of my Speed Twin seat to make sure the logo was centered - thank feck it is). It's Triumphs' most costly and (arguably) most prestigious model and I'd want them to swap it immediately - unacceptable QC all around.
Hope you get that seat sorted mate they should change it or Triumph should see that pic and all the bike press
Probably looks in the right place through slitty eyes. Ken. PS. If HRH Duke of Ed. can say it, it must be okay?
We would call that a Friday bike here. Not major defects but sloppy like someone was in a hurry to start the weekend.
I think if they will not replace it, drop Triumph a line at Quality control and they will most certainly change it. Not a good thing to have knocking about on our roads. Mr Bloor would not be impressed.
Not a Rocket I know but a 2018 T100. Look at the the height difference between the frame tubes. I got the bike exchanged because of this. Sketchy QC from time to time.
Think mine is pretty central. Maybe a touch to the right.... Luckily I don’t bother about it but Triumph Logos Matter..
