I really want to put some 2" risers on my scrambler 1200XC, but the one piece upper bar clamp that Triumph used on these bikes has me concerned that is is going to look really stupid with Rox Risers on it. Has anyone put them on a Scrambler 1200 yet? If so, I have 2 questions: 1) Can you use the Rox upper clamps on the down on the bike's lower bar mounts, and use the triumph upper clamp on the top part of the risers? 2) Can I see pics? Thanks
Sorry to post in my own thread before getting a reply, but I thought I should clarify. My primary concern is aesthetic. see how the top clamp on the scrambler in this picture spans between the sides. I imagine any riser that is not a full bar across is going to look pretty silly unless I can move that top clamp up on top of the riser with my bars.
Do the risers not go under the Triumph ones between what you have in the picture and the top of the upper fork clamp I know that some are available to just lift the Triumph ones up Maybe it’s this type you need
The XE has risers fitted as standard I believe, not sure length, you could fit those or use Jack-be-quick risers
Thanks for the ideas. Most other risers will work, but I was looking at using the rox risers pivoting risers. They clamp into your normal bar clamps and have a top clamp of their own. The only advantage is that they pivot in your bikes bar clamps so you can make the go anywhere between 2 inches up and 2 inches back. I'm looking to bring the bars up and back. I believe the XE clamps will do this, but I'm having trouble locating a source and price for them. Being form Triumph they are probably going to be 3x the cost of other options. At any rate, I appreciate the responses and idea. Gonna go look at the suggested options and the other options out there.
Thanks for the idea on the XE riser @Repooh. I found parts diagrams, numbers, and pricing and it turns out the only difference between the XE and XC bar clamp is that the XC has silve, the XS has black, and the XE has an added removable spacer part # T2042653 (PFKL3071011). The only downside is that it looks like its a minimal rise of maybe around a 1/2 inch. Still something to consider if I want to keep it looking stock.
Take a look at Motone, they do up and back risers for the Bonnivilles, beautifully made. Not sure if they fit Scram, they replace the Triumph top clamp
Nice thanks. The motone risers will bring it up an inch without altering the look at all. It won't bring them back like I was wanting to do, but may be a nice compromise.

Some other dude on the thread commented I recommend the Rox rotating style. That way they are adjustable and you don't get that semicircle gap.

Turns out that Rox just put out a new option like the ones you just posted that fills that empty half circle https://roxspeedfx.com/collections/...ucts/1-1-2-barback-risers-for-1-1-8-handlebar Pretty much exactly what I wanted, good rise plus a little back, and they aren't going to look too out of place. On top of that I found a set of demo units from revzilla that were only $70. Seems like a lot for what they are, but it's still a good savings over the retail price. I'll post pics and min-review once I have then installed and get a chance to ride with them.
risers received and installed. I was even able to use the stock triumph top-clamp, but had to cut some plastic crush shims to install between the clamp and riser. Gave me the rise and pullback I was after, and doesn't look too bad either.
Sorry late to the party, but did you have to move any cable holder/clips/extension? Curious about this myself.
I did not have to reroute any cables or remove any clips, but it was about as tight as it could have been and still succeeded. Your situation may be different depending on triumph's manufacturing tolerances. I actually tested by removing my bars and seeing how much I could pull them up and back before I placed the order.

Correcting me if I’m wrong, but I notice the bars are titled slightly forward from looking at the brake reservoir. I’m just curious as I’m interested in getting these risers for my 1200xc and was wondering if you had any issues adjusting the handlebars to your liking. Did you have to use the crush sims so the stock clamp would tighten down all the way?
My bars aren't tilted at all. They are aligned with the marks on the bars and mount, just as they were from dealership. I didn't have to make any adjustments other than installing the risers, and I did not need any special washers. The difference is pretty subtle, but it brought the bars back and up a little so I can ride a little more upright now.
