Anyone know if there is a rack out there that will fit the Speed Twin yet? Need something to carry me Almax chain which weighs 10 kg.

Hepco and Becker make a selection of 3, Ventura make 1. I am about to make a Street Twin rack fit, I will report back!

If you don’t carry a pillion have you considered a bag, like a tail bag, that will strap under the seat?

I have but two issues: 1 I don't think there are any bags out there man enough to keep the chain in place (the chain is 10kg plus the lock) and 2 I do want a pillion on the back.

Any mods required? Looks like you had some bending at the front to do.

I now have a Hepco and Becker rake for my top box. If anyone is interested in my used Street Twin rack. £100 inc carriage in UK.

    Hey Tallpaul,
Loved what you did with the Street Twin rear rack. Am looking for a similar solution for my Speed Twin. The Hepco Becker one is pretty expensive here in India. Tec doesn't ship it - last I inquired. Will try to get my hands on a Street Twin rack.

I've gone back to my Street Twin rack. I'm fitting a Triumph top plate to it so I can use my Expedition top box on both bikes.

looking to order the Street Twin rear rack or possibly just the grab rail for the Speed Twin. Bought the Tec bike one ages ago but not impressed so never fitted it in the end. Do you know whether the rack you bought was for the older Street Twin Model or the new one, is there any difference I wonder?

Check back in when you have the rack and I can give you measurements of where to cut, It will save a lot of time!

Think I will go with the grab rail for the cleaner look

    Hi Tosgha

Did you get this to fit? Was there much cutting or bending required?

    cheers

It is on but it is only attached by the 4 rear bolts that are under the seat. The rails that run along the edge of the seat with brackets that attach to the threaded holes behind the shocks have been cut off and the new ones have not been welded on yet as I have not had access to my workplace, I wanted it to clear the indicators with not contact and no modification to the bike in any way which I will have achieved once the brackets are welded on.
I recently realised that if you were to replace the original indicators with aftermarket short ones most of the clearance issues would be eliminated.
