    Hello All,

I just bought the Triumph Roadster Windscreen P/N A9700379 for my 2018 Speedmaster, and (as usual) the part didn't come with instructions. I found the install instructions on triumphinstructions.com, but I'm still stuck.

Step #3 tells me to remove the upper yoke according to the Service Manual. I cannot find the service manual ANYWHERE. Haynes doesn't have it yet, and it's not on tritun.net either (which I found out after buying a 1 hour subscription).

Can anyone give me the steps and tools required to remove the upper yoke? I have a ride coming up this weekend, and I really need to get this screen installed.

    Thanks for the help!

I hope you found a resolution to this. Sorry to hijack your post but wanted to say that I bought my SpMaster screen from Madstad in US. I received it after paying customs fee and scratched my head for a few days trying to figure out where the various brackets, screws and rubber bits went. Then I read the instructions and managed to get the brackets mounted to the forks but there were no instructions on how to mount the screen to the adjustable brackets so I emailed them. The next day they sent me some pics and bingo. I bought 20inch screen as I’m 5’9 and the difference is amazing. My neck is no longer having to go through a work out and I can ride visor up. At high speed without it I was wrestling to stay on the bike but now I can cruise over 70 in relative comfort. Good luck with your screen Czechmate.

Did you buy directly from Madstad, and if so what was total cost with customs duties etc

You need a socket big enough for the top but. About 24 mm and Allan key to undo the Allen head screw's in either side of the yoke. It lifts off , might need some force as residual grip on fork leg's might be tight still. It's all easy enough from there

Forgot to say screen price. $366.66 plus the £75 duty you pay to courier

Seems you paid close to what Triumph want for their long haul screen. What made you go through the potential hassle of USA purchase, rather than the simple Triumph option? Have you got info on the screen comparisons?

Hi Drummer. Cost wasn’t a factor for me. It was 1. Very positive reviews of Madstad and 2. Easy lift off - takes 10 seconds to remove. I guess I didnt know that until I fitted it but I ride with and without.

This thread has shocked and confused me. In the Triumph Speedmaster accessory list it shows this screen will take 1 minute to fit, maybe a typo?

Fitting times Triumph show for accessories are mostly bogus and many are given show as one minute. Their long haul screen requires taking the fork yoke off, so definitely takes longer that that!

Wow, I wonder who thought of that rather than split fork clamps!!! Certainly will stop me buying one for DIY.
