I'm running mine with discs gone baffles in and it's perfect without you would definitely need ear plugs it's very load, this way it turns heads but not as many angry looks as when I went out with open pipes!

Definitely sounds like a good place to start - and it keeps it looking untouched (for now), assuming the discs will co-operate and extract from the inner end.

I believe the CAT is integrated with the headers. No one offering a full system AFAIK.
Would be interesting to see if it can be drilled / hacked out !

I do like the look of some of the aftermarket exhausts, but i don’t see myself swapping.

That said, I really do love the look and sound of the arrows on my 2019 RS and I feel she has plenty enough HP and torque for my practical purposes. I was happy Triumph actually picked a nice exhaust as a default since most bike exhausts are trash.

I must be getting old or something, but keep the pictures coming. I like seeing what others build!

I've posted plenty of detail on my 'ownership thread' but to add to this conversation...I've covered a couple of hundred miles since fitting my AR can and I'm loving it :yum

With the baffle in, it produces a smoother, less raspy, sonorous growl - without drowning out the engine and induction sound.

Baffle out is loud (but not stupid-loud) but it 'takes over' if that makes sense - it's all shouting and nothing much else (perhaps you like SHOUTING?).

Low end torque feels down (improved with baffle in) so I'm planning a trip to Hilltop in the spring.

Weight loss was 7.65kg (including the pillion pegs). I had a suspension tune...which took getting used to, because it's way more agile and turns in very willingly.

All this aside, the looks and build quality do it for me :p

Thank you - I really do like it myself :)

I went to Race Engineering in Dunmow (Essex) for the suspension tune (original post here).

It's been 'base-lined' to match my weight and riding style, but if anything, it turns in a little too easily/quickly, so I might go for an adjustment (probably best to give it more miles first). It's way more sensitive to steering inputs, which maybe needs time to adjust to.

I looked inside the arrow can and its quite interesting. There is a short tube inside a chamber and in the end of that tube is the "restrictor disc". Some people claimed that they have lost torque after removing baffles and those discs, so I dont know if I should cut them. I drew an illustrstion of the can.

@Arno triple - click the pink ‘Ownership Thread’ link in my post that you quoted and it will take you to my original post with all the details you need.

Edit: to make it easier, here's where you need to go: https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/2018-speed-triple-rs-–-ownership-thread.13318/page-14#post-228922

You’ll see that it was from CarbonFBR in the UK and had to be modified (by me) to fit the 2018+ RS. I’m not sure whether they have since modified the mounting points.

email Jacques Le Roux at [email protected] for more info and mention the forum - he may give a 10% discount.

I’ve ran my Speed with just the discs removed, just the baffles removed and with both removed. I’ve had two sets of mufflers on the bike to make that possible. Here is my experience with it. With just the discs removed there really is no difference that I can tell in sound or performance. With just the baffles removed there is a huge improvement in sound and no noticeable impact on performance. With both removed there is no noticeable impact to sound over just the baffles removed ,but there is a noticeable improvement in performance. The bike pulls harder all the way through the rev range, especially at the top end. This has been my experience and could be different with others, although I can’t see how. When my brother and I switched bikes he noticed it right away as he had ridden it several times prior. His GSXS1000 always had a little more pull at the top but he said my Speed feels just as quick now. Have a look at the dyno below. It’s from the triumphrat forum. This dyno is with baffle and disc removed. No loss of power or torque at all. There were before and after dyno’s as well.

Just fit a Leovince factory S to Mrs fzrs speed rs, removed dB killer. Sounds really nice not too loud easy fit, plenty of weight saving. Will let you know how it runs when we've been out for a run.
