2005 1050 speed triple. I'm running Michelin pilot power 36 front 42 rear Or is there a better setup pressure? Many thanks again
Welcome to the forum Peter. Current factory recommended pressures are 34 front / 42 rear, but many on here (myself included) run lower pressures. I run 32 front / 38 rear on Metzeler Sportec M7RR's
Best advice I can give is experiment by dropping say 1 or 2 lb at a time till you find the best for you as tyres vary as much as riders do. My Sprint is best at standard setting of 36/42 on Angel GTs but was better with 34/38 on PR2s. Too low pressure on mine made the steering very heavy. Good luck and let us know how you get on
36 front and rear here.... any lower than that and I get the deflation warning and it gets on my tits lol
34/42 here, using Metzeler Z8 tyres Mostly motorway and then round London, front is coning as the sides wear faster than the centre and the rear is squaring off. So may increase front a couple psi.
When I had my suspension set up I was advised to run 32 front and 34 rear on my speedy when solo riding (warmer months) Personally I thought a bit to low so I run 34 -36 on Metzeler Z8s and find it a great combination for me
I always ran 36/42 perhaps a little harsh on the rear but I seemed to find the front was sensitive to lower pressure.
Wisamic 5-3/4 5.75" Round LED... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EA7U4GS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Wisamic Plug in using the original bulb connection 10 times better than the original
You loose the daylight running light but all is good and go through the MOT just fine as are DOT stamped
Here they are fitted to my 2010 Speed Triple Took 15 min To fit each side Just remember that the chrome circular holder/retainer goes one way
Excellent - thanks for the tip! I just bought brighter bulbs too! damn. Anyway these seem to have the Halo which looks pretty cool. My lights seem to always be on though - no option to have just day lights: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Daymaker-H...JRN8G8K1GTT&psc=1&refRID=E3VCY5CVZJRN8G8K1GTT
Wow - that does look trick! What year is yours? Mines a 2005. I noticed you have Brembo's - did you upgrade them or is yours newer? I'm used to Superbikes and the one thing that is lacking slightly is the braking.
This thread I posted some time ago may be of interest. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/back-to-the-future-with-1-21-gigawatts.14806/ The lights were from here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-75-Mot...DRL-Halo-Eyes-Universal-Fitment-/302623785456 On the whole I'd recommend, DLR is bright and good beam from dip and main, had some misting of the front lens when the weather is cold but clears after an hour standing, don't get the problem in warmer weather. I've read that elsewhere that this is a potential problem with LED lights as they are not generating heat at the front. Edit: DOT marked too, been through MOT fine.

Mine is the 2010 Speed Triple who h comes with Brembo calipers One significant brake upgrade I did was to install Hel braided brake lines, when properly bled the feedback and grip is greatly improved, cost about £100 front and back
