Took my spare SV wheels in for new 2ct tires, strolled into the showroom and seen a 2019 white street triple RS. Major bike boner. Finally came to a cash deal. Rode it home tonight. Handling is almost mirror image to my heavily modified and set up sv650 with a Penske rear shock. Just starting to dial in suspension for a 160 lb rider with normal gear. Any hints welcomed.

Hi Mate & Welcome to the forum, set the sag up for your weight then use sport settings from the handbook it will be spot on for 'spirited' riding.

Went back to the dealership Saturday for a common part for the SV650, new bike sales lady snagged me, I told her I just bought a 19 white striple RS she said, oh I have an 18 white striple R low and love it. Of course she wanted a picture of the two bikes side by side, being beautiful and a rider I agreed without any arm twisting. During the course of the conversation, she asked what did you ride before, I said sv650, and she whipped out her phone and showed me a pic of her sv650 that she still owns since she bought it new in 2000, showed her mine. Talked about a half hour before the term husband came up, dang.

If your speed triple handles as badly as an SV650, best get it sorted whilst under warranty:p

Big fan of the SV, was my first big bike, fantastic engine, but brakes, suspension and handling were not brilliant. I have ridden ones with USD forks and aftermarket shocks, better, but still not brilliant.
    K7 - 750 GSXR was a revelation after the SV. :D

Test rode a 17 Speed, great bike, brilliant engine, waaaaaay better than an SV.

Street triple brakes are going take some getting used to, definitely not a two finger pull like I am used to. turn in on the sv was quick, with the bike set up arse high 13mm drop in the front, rear raised 13 mm. got a wake up call on Saturday to get the triumph sag set asap when I crossed some recently damaged train tracks, I had raised up three or 4" above the seat to cross and the rear end launched upwards and to the right. seat smacked my butt.

the state level geniuses have passed a law that it is illegal to stand up on the pegs for any reason while operating a motorcycle. This is called "stunting"
