Gents.....and Ladies (in the interest of current best practice) :)

I have used my Ninja-Like keyboard skills in an attempt to find a previous post that answers my question but to no avail...…..so with that in mind, I call upon those with far more 'Tri' with their 'umph' than me as a newbie to help.

I have just picked up my new (to me) Speed Triple....its a beauty, 2015 '94 with 2,500 mile on it so pretty much mint. With that in mind, obviously, the first thing I am doing is spending money to make it even prettier...….as we all do. I've already fitted the EvoTech tidy...then proceeded to melt one of the stock indicators so pick up the LED upgrade from Triumph tomorrow. They will then go on with one of the angled EvoTech brackets and a lesson learnt .

My question to the brethren is this, has anyone got/seen/dreamt of or even imagined in a slightly visual way adding the high-slung Akrapovic with the combo of EvoTech and LED's? I'm just trying to work out if the cans will be far enough back for the indicators to squeeze in, either horizonal or on the angled bracket.

Thank you for reading and here it is 'so far' :yum and yes....her arse does look big in those....hence the Akra question ;)

264480A9-4DEB-40F1-BD1E-F581285D0821.png Here is a pic from an eBay ad for akras, sadly it doesn’t show the tail tidy but the fit looks very similar to arrows in terms of clearance and I know someone on here has evotech tail tidy and led’s with arrows, I have R&G tail tidy, led’s and arrows and the indicators fit fine on the angle brackets.

Many thanks for taking the time Y'Man....I had seen that picture but worried at how long they were.....in the side-on picture they seem to stick out a good inch or two beyond the line of the break light....hopefully I will get a bit more 'Real World' feedback along with yours to get a clearer idea.

    Cheeeeeers

Here are arrows and an Evotec tail tidy.
The number plate is slightly smaller than standard

I had an angled bracket on my 2011 and it was tight but there was enough clearance, I didn't even have LEDs either which i think are smaller. Don't have the bike anymore and this is the only photo I have of the rear

Hi Bryon - try reading from post #21 of this thread:

    https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/arrow-cans-r-g-tail-tidy.13391/page-2#post-223142

I'd removed the standard LED indicators on my 2018 RS (in order to fit the extra slim version) and they were fitted to this member's 2015 R. There's a photo at the end that shows the clearance with the Arrow cans.

The tail tidy is significantly different on a 2016+ bike, so hopefully this helps with your research.

Looks like you've found a really great looking bike :yum

Many thanks Mr T.....that load of pictures is about as close as I'm going to get until I take the plunge.

EvoTech tidy is on......I pick up the LED indicators from Triumph this arvo….and Akras are due in tomorrow.... :grinning:

I will let you see the results at some point over the weekend

I’ve seen mention on here of an integrated rear light/indicator unit which would resolve your problem if you could get hold of one for your year model.

Thanks for the suggestion.....I believe there are some MOT issues in the UK with the combo units....minimum distance between 'reflective surfaces' of the indicators needs to be 180mm. : unamused:

Just measured the gap with stock indicators and the Evotech tidy and it's bang on 180 mm.....so any closer than those are currently would need a friendly MOT man

Having been let down by my local T dealer and an email that never arrived I was wondering if anyone has any info on the torque settings that I'll need for doing a tail tidy and led indicator upgrade on the Speed Triple? Please.... :)

Hi Byron, I also have Speed Triple 94 and fitted the tail tidy. I’ve attached the Tq details.
