Hi, a question for those knowledgeable in carburettors. My sport has Kehin carburettors and the only new inlet rubbers I can see are for Mikunis. Are the two types identical bar for the name? I’m needing the rubbers between the head and the carbs, so would like to know before I take things apart. Cheers!
I've recently replaced the ones on my 98 TBS. wemoto, near Brighton (I assume that you're uk) have the right ones, takes a few days to get them though as they're not a stock item. When fitting them, make sure you get them around the right way! There's a good write up about replacing them somewhere, I'll look it up and post back..
https://www.webbikeworld.com/triumph-thunderbird-sport-air-filter-change/ The inlet rubbers (he calls them hoses?) are covered as part of this. https://www.wemoto.com is where I got mine. Hope that helps, it's a bitch of a job, take the time to remove the sign of and carb rack, it makes it a lot easier!!!
Yes, Scotland. Just working off a phone at the moment and Wemoto’s website not the best to navigate. Thanks for the link on the job. I’ve long suspected it to be a pain in the arse
www.triumphparts.gbr.cc have them listed £6.95 each for Keihin carbs. Mikuni are £5.95. To be found in the 'Fuel, oil filters, air filters' section. Hope this helps.
