    hi guys and girls
    just litte cautionary tale
recently got me a Daytona 955i on 06 plate not so recently got old so wrists not liking the racing clip ons on me new toy so like many others on here started the search for nice set of risers.
contributions and suggestions from fellow forum users very helpful thanks to all for that.
then spotted a local member who was selling a cnc top yoke risers and bars and he lives about 10 Mile's away, yippee!! deal done on phone he even dropped them round to me !! fantastic, but as I'm not 100% sure If all 955i /595 top yokes are the same so I asked him will they be right for late06 model but he assured me as a bike enthusiast and mechanic YEP THERE ALL SAME,

    no there absolutely NOT,

the one he sold me was for 98/04 yoke with a 25mm stem, changed from 04 onwards to 22mm stem and conventional stem nut. now my friendly local triumph forum member is refusing to take them back and completely ignoring all messages despite specifically saying mine had conventional top yoke nut and was he sure it would be ok ,ANYWAY just a cautionary note to all the genuine forum users A; yokes aren't all interchangeable B; there are unfortunately some not so scrupulous folk using the forum. BE AWARE! dont want any one else losing over £150.
on a brighter note anyone want cnc top yoke with risers and bars for 98/04 595/955i I've got some that I cant use so the yokes definitely on me on this occasion. be happy stay safe all

p.s I can send private pic of the yoke and bars if anyone interested.

Sorry to hear that the guy would not take them back, real shame given the many genuine forum members on this forum.

  4. As unpalatable as this may be to the affected member, that could set a nasty precedent. They should deal with one another as ultimately this was a deal between two individuals. :)

I wont name and shame as previous member said it could set a bad precedent and it's not the place for personal mud slinging, only posted in the hope that it could nudge him to at least respond in private sooner than just ignoring all messages also the post may stop someone else buying wrong top yoke etc

Agree - although we are all of same interest - we do not really know someone until they have been around a while.

That’s disgraceful, the forum member should refund all monies so long as the part is in the same condition as when he sold it.

Can’t believe the he won’t reply to your messages.

If the seller knew that they wouldn’t fit why didn’t he say so.

If he didn’t know they would fit why didn’t he say so.

Looks to me that he just wanted the money and it’s bollocks to you mate I’ve got your money

You’ve got my address my bestist mate from previous dealings of tech equipment, so put it in the post.

After reading about Foxy955i dealings with an different forum member(not you my friend) I’d like to see the Satnav to make sure it will fit before I send any money

BTW Thanks very much for the equipment you sold me previously, it’s still going strong

Foxy if the issue is just the stem diameter can't a sleeve be machined up and slipped under the nut?

Post some pictures of the top yoke, top and bottom views?

"Me bestist mate crispey" "Still going strong crispey" - is that why you had road numbers and directions written on a piece of paper on top of your tank bag on the German trip! :D:D:D
