Found a switched wire in the headlight assembly. So wired that under the fuel tank, where I split it for left and right. Out of connectors now Will connect the whole lot up sometime this week. Well chuffed I got it sorted! Bloody electrics..
Good man, that all sounds ok Vulpes, now your an auto electrician I suggest you get yourself a stash of electrical connectors in a suitable compartment type box, selection of shrinkwrap is also good WELL DONE MARRA
ITS A GREAT START VULPES, GOOD - ON YA Now transfer the others from that CHEAP carton to the MANLY BOX , JOB'S A GOOD-UN PS - while your paying attention and taking advice from me to that extent, how about buying a wee small house for me to visit/ holiday in the netherlands as and when I wish
I like the looks of those as well, but I don't read or speak German. Hell, I can barely speak English!
I say yellow to indicator supply and red to day running lights, run an extra wire means independent control of lights
I have ordered some of these front/back indicators/dlr/brake lights for Tigger. Did you have to use a relay or simply swap over the old indicator and add a permanent +ve feed (for the front). What about the back ones? I presume there is a feed from the indicator, brake and a +ve feed (plus the negative/ground)...
No relay necessary with mine. I only did the front - I've got integrated indicators in the brake/taillight. They come with 3 leads (mine, anyway) - red, yellow and black. The original leads on the indicators are black and white on my triple. Black on black, yellow on white and a separate +lead (get a switched one from the headlight assembly) on the red. That should work. Good luck!
