Update for today. Managing to walk now without crutches. Later this afternoon I’m going to attempt to ride the bike and bring it down to the hotel. If that’s a success then I’m all set to ride home tomorrow.

 

Good luck, it’s burning me up reading about your bad luck, take it easy, bit at a time and hopefully the foot will be ok to ride.

Thanks. Yes bad luck indeed. Last night about 4am after a visit to the loo, I knocked a glass on to the floor and it shattered into a million pieces. Still picking bits up now.
Anyone fancy swapping my luck

A trip next year is almost certain. Options on the table so far are Northern Spain, France and Holland.

 

Another update. The Wasp is going home tomorrow.

Got the bike and rode down to the Schnitzel House hotel. It’s now parked outside. My boot just fits and I had no problems changing gear or balancing. I am so happy to be able to get myself and the bike home.
Next update will be once I’m home. By the way it’s a beautiful sunny and hot day today.
