Hi all, Anyone using a paddock stand with their Speedmaster. I have the bobbins installed and they fit really low down on the frame. so I am looking for recommendations for a suitable paddock stand and preferably adjustable so I can use it with my Street Triple too.
Hi Pitbull I got exactly the same dilemma. Off to Stafford Triumph Saturday so will ask the question. let you know if I get anything worth knowing Mark
Pitbull, I bought the Oxford Premium paddock stand - works well on my Speedmaster 2018. https://www.amazon.co.uk/OX281-Oxford-Premium-Motorcycle-Paddock/dp/B00F4HFT46 Beerman
Try Tec products (or something like that). They do a bar that goes through the rear axle with cotton reels on it, decent height for a paddock stand.
Hi @Beerman if it’s not to much bother could you put a picture up of your Speedmaster on your Oxford paddock stand I’m gonna need to get something for cleaning/maintenance and would like to see if this will do the job on my bike table Cheers Dilligaf
Bought this one and it seems OK, only problem is I can't lift the back end to get it on the stand, the wheels just don't seem to want to move it over the pivot point. Where have you attached to Bobbins, I have used the 2 lower points but noticed there is another hole higher up.
That’s why I’m asking for a picture If you move the bobbins up to the upper holes and it works could you put a picture up mate
I will put a picture up tomorrow - it's on the lower holes, and I haven't had any difficulty. Beerman
My technique: 1. Turn bars to LEFT 2. Put tile or similar under side stand (pic1) - bike leans SLIGHTLY to left 3. Left hand on seat bars, right hand push stand down. If bike falls (not happened to me - yet!) the bike will fall on to the side stand. 4. Reverse - bike 'falls' onto side stand. You might want to place a plaster where the bobbin may - just - touch the frame, though mine is not marked. Hope that is clear! Beerman
Yeah....been looking again I haven’t got bobbins yet but I could put spacers and longer bolts in to clear the frame
I think that would work. Statement of the obvious, but make sure you buy the right bobbin thread size - I don't think the manual specificies what it is (or I didn't find it). Beerman
Yes, it does take a bit os a push! Beerman You do have to give it a good shove - it's 250gs of bike! Beerman
Infinity motorcycles are selling these stands for £46.99 Showing out of stock but I’ll give them a call and see if I can get one
