After borrowing a Street Cup and loving its smooth fluency of riding but lacking the outright performance that I am used to from a 600cc Rice Rocket, I've seen the light and as of earlier this week have become a very, very happy Thruxton R owner. What a fabulous machine to ride - and what a beautiful piece of mechanical art just to absorb. Having come round from "It looks a bit retro sci-fi, Dad" to "It looks quite cool actually and I like what it sounds like", someone is also continually asking when the dual seat and pillion pegs will arrive... When I'm not out riding it, looking at it - and by the look of things, needing to polish it - I'll pop in here!
Hi CR and welcoem in to the Triumph Asylum - Nursie will be round with your 'meds' soon. Beautiful bike the Thruxton R - a real eyeful.
Thank you Each; the best welcome I've ever had to a forum! Off for a ride now, just for the fun of it.
Huh! Next thing you'll be telling us of the pleasure, fulfilment and enjoyment your bike is providing! SIGH!!! Oh yeah ...... welcome to the party!!
Welcome aboard. If you'd like to put faces to some of names of the scoundrels round here then check out our annual get together in North Wales in July. Folk will travelling from various parts of the country and a few meet up at various points to ride over together. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/grand-meet-up-2018-wales.12452/
