955i Engine Coatings

    About to prep my tiger 955i engine for a partial repaint. After some advice on the correct process. Looking a e-tech heat resistant enamel. Is an etch primer advised with this or not.:idea:

    Acid etch primer should be used on bare alloy.

    Thanks for your reply I will go with that. Are there any you would recommend? A brush on one would be preferable

    Never seen or used brush on, i use u pol acid etch and you can get it in aerosol. you only need to spray it on lightly as one coat does it.

    Just make sure its all super clean and prep with a scotch pad n panel wipe.

    Thanks to all who replied to my post. I am going with u-pol 8 acid etch primer suggested with an e-tech high temp enamel coating. This project is going started when the weather warms up a bit. Will up date when complete. :cool:
