Tyco BMW has reported thefts of four race bikes from one of its transporters which was parked outside a hotel near Birmingham’s NEC.

The four bikes were all on display at the Motorcycle Live show at the NEC and the team is appealing for any information to be reported to the team or West Midlands Police.

The bikes were stolen between 10.30pm on Sunday 27th November and 6.30am on Monday 28thNovember from a transporter parked outside the Premier Inn at Birmingham NEC/Airport.

It has been reported the four bikes were taken away in a white Ford Transit van.

“We put our heart and soul into motorcycle racing and these bikes have real sentimental value,” Philip Neill, team manager, said. “For this to happen is just devastating, especially as the bikes were only at Motorcycle Live so that race fans could see them up close and personal.”

    The four bikes stole were:

-Ian Hutchinson’s treble winning Superstock specification Tyco BMW S1000RR – that won races at the NW200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix as well as finishing second in the British Superstock Championship in Tyco BMW livery.

-Christian Iddon’s Tyco BMW S1000RR British Superbike – complete with very exclusive Suter Swingarm in Tyco BMW livery

-Guy Martin’s Isle of Man TT Tyco BMW S1000RR Superbike – in Tyco BMW livery

-Christian Iddon’s Tyco BMW S1000RR Superstock test bike – in plain white livery

The team is asking for anyone with useful information to contact please TAS Racing directly (028 8674 8097) or ring West Midlands Police on contact number 101 and ask for PC Shaw (21901).

We have photographic evidence, though to be fair it was possible the shortest time anyone has ever sat on a bike.
