    been looking on autotrader website what’s the deal with Z900 prices,I know the retro style bike fetched strong money but the more modern uglier one is way cheaper,new ones at £6495/£6795/£6995way cheaper than the retro style one even second hand,I know they don’t look as good but ffs £2000 difference is a shit load of money.

    It's a hipster thing I think. Lots of retro stuff out there at the mo, all getting 'bobbered' or' cafe'd'

    I nearly bought an A2 gpz900r last year, for just under a grand. Wish I had, could have made a profit!

    Been looking for a decent Kawa GT550, but it's either shite on offer or its been bloody bobbered...

    Aha there’s a nice gt550 on glasgow gumtree now at a decent price,it’s advertised as a Z550 for some reason.

    It was a z500 engine until around '88 they rebranded, GT meaning grand touring (I think)

    Still the same engine, sleeved down z750 iirc. I've looked at a few now, mostly rot boxes.
