Dont dis the dolomite, i cant tell you how much my teenage self wanted a dolomite sprint when i was barred from motorbikes
Had one of those back in the day. Helluva motor, but used to suffer with head gasket problems like the stag. Cured mine by fitting a copper head gasket. Wish I still had it. Sigh...
At the moment, I think I’d still settle with the TDM900 I currently own... but I’d love to at least have scratch round the lanes on some of my old bikes... XBR500, CB400/4, Cb250rs, RF900r
Loved this bike. So wish I could've afforded to keep it just for sunny days. Can't remember if I've posted this previously, but I did love that bike
2006 R1 awesome bike, handled like a dream and amazing power, got stopped by the police a few months after getting her, first thing he said to me when he got out his car was, keep cool nothing to worry about here just wanted to have a closer look at your bike turned out he'd been reading a lot about them and was thinking on getting one
For me, I'd say my favorite would be the old America I currently own. It has grown on me. I bought it used. Didn't pay much for it because it would barely run when I got it. Nursed it back to life. It is dead bang reliable and comfortabe as an old pair of shoes. Did a bit of tailoring here and thier to make it fit. It's an air cooled, carburetted 2002. ...J.D.
I had to have a long hard think about this question, having had quite a few bikes over the years. I kept coming back to my Sprint ST 1050.. Here she is in the Pyrenees having taken me through northern Spain, into the Pyrenees before heading back up through France. Only one of the many european tours I completed on this bike.
Yamaha RD 250F . The photo was taken on my 17th Birthday 12.10.1980. It’s a wonder I ever made my 18th ...! I stepped up from a Honda SS50 and could not believe how fast it was when it came into the Powerband. It nearly pulled out of my hands the first time it hit 5000 rpm. One of those” holy sheeeet” moments !
