Dish washer??? Way too corrosive! Should never use that! : unamused:

A motorbike is not an ornament unless it’s made into an ornament! Clean the excess oils and grease; mount it as a display, fine… in the house it goes!
If you want to just store it but use it… stick it in a condom like (iirc) Wessa does… store in garage until needed.

Unless you have a particular style of house (anyone remember ‘Vegas’?) or scrupulously clean motorcycles, I would have to agree.

It is @Wessa who practises safe storage. I believe he carefully covers the bike with said condom, then sucks all the air out. I’m unsure of his methods in the matter.

I wouldn't be happy at all unless, as DCS900 said, a bike coming into the house was properly prepped and cleaned to be displayed as an ornament only. What I do know however is that the words "It's me, or the bikes" would be foolish ones to utter without having sorted myself somewhere else to live first!!

I'm not sure guys. This could just be the answer to my storage problem. A large garage mat on the living room floor and four more bikes for me

I think it depends on the bike. I’d love a Ducati Panigale V4 - it’s a thing of beauty. I know I’d rarely ride it though as the riding position would cripple me. I think it would be fine to park it in the conservatory as a piece of art and just take it out occasionally.

I'd quite like Charlize Theron to move in as a piece of art but I can't see that being sanctioned by the management. :sob:

Seriously store a motorcycle in the house, not in my house. This is not because I don’t want them in there, there just isn’t enough room - simple.

I kept my sportster in the living room in the 80's as I was doing up the house and eventually got around to building a garage, I was using it almost daily, I'm sure the neighbours hated me as I had to start it up and ride it up 3 steps to get it out of the front garden.

I used to keep my Firebird Scrambler in my bedroom all dismantled and hung from the ceiling. Till Tracy moved in.
