I have a 65 plate tiger 800 which seems to have started wallowing in the bends , this does it whether i have panniers on or not , can be quite unsettling , anyone got any suggestions , started about 12 months agao, bike has 8500 miles on it
Is it the same issue on a flat smooth bend or just on bouncy ones? Does the chain have any tight spots and is it adjusted correctly? Head bearings good? You need to narrow it down a bit; obvious thought is to blame the suspension but be methodical in your analysis
The bike is no great age or mileage. If it really is wallowing - feeling floaty and vague at the back - it suggests too much rebound I.e. a seal failure that means your spring return from compression lacks damping control.
Adrian Robson. Yes I would think you have a damaged shock. Not being rude what's your weight what type of riding have you been doing. Regards Joe.
Thanks for reply’s , I’m 11st and bike wallows on all bends worse at the 70 mph type speed , last ride was catalunya for moto gp with week mountain riding Although been riding 40 odd years and other bike is gsxr 1000 I’m not into suspension setting , bike is in for mot next week so will ask bike shop to look at suspension
