Here's one for any Sprint Experts - I have a slightly rough around the edges 2002, Gen 2 Motored Sprint RS and I want to 'tart 'er up' so I have been watching fleabay etc. on the lookout for a down at heel Sprint RS for a spare set of plastics/tank (preferably in Green or Blue as I am not a terribly big fan of the black which mine is painted in) and sundry other spares but it has occurred to me that, as there seem to be a lot of very reasonably priced ST's that could serve as donor's, would their plastics do the job and convert the bike to full fairings (I don't have the optional belly pan although the bike must have had at some time as the brackets are there). In addition is there general compatibility between the engines, brakes, forks etc. or are they not really that closely related?
As Duck said extreme caution as there are many differences. Keep your eye on flea bay for RS bodywork - set up a search that will ping you a text every time a new related item comes up. You would be surprised what a decent paint man can do with battered tatty bodywork, see pictures of before & after on my race fairings.
