Hi I've had my LT for a couple of years now and the white wall tyres are looking a little dirty. Anybody got any tips on the best way to clean them?
    Cheers

I haven't had white wall tires for 40 years, but when I did, I used SOS soap pads. They are a fine steel wool with soap embedded in them. They are meant for cleaning pots, etc., they they were pretty gentle on the sidewall and did a great job. It looks like you all have them in the UK. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Steel-Wool-Soap-Pads-Count/dp/B0009P687K . I imagine that these will be less abrasive than the Scotch-Brite pads and I don't recall them ever causing problems for the white rubber with regard to the chemicals.

    Hi Wessa,

I use this for a couple of years now:
    6B17C172-5B95-4587-81EF-DF5446659FF2.jpeg

Don‘t need water neither and works very well! It also did a great job on my whitewalls.

    Cheers, Daniel

(Oh, I just saw on the picture that it is made in France... So there might be an import-ban shortly...!?)
    ;)

    Just read this joke:

    „I am an expert!“

„So you once were a pert?“

Thanks Daniel had a quick look on the web and it is available here in the UK, bit pricey though. I think I will try some of the other options before spending circa £40 on this product.......

Yeah it is quite costly. But I need only 2-3 for the whole bike. Had the first bottle for about 3 years...

Thanks to all for the tips. I got some kitchen scourers today and a bucket with a concentrated mix of washing up liquid and water. Cleaned the tyres and they have come up very clean; well please with the result. Next time I clean the wheels I will definitely do them again using the same method. Here is the bike.....
