Just back from the ByTheWay bunkhouse inTyndrum. Mick who runs it is a biker. Packed with hikers and canoeists. Very good value, clean, modern place, with big kitchen but no free tea and coffee so make sure to pack some for your arrival brew. Fish, chips 'n mushy peas at The Real Food Cafe next door well worth the tenner for a standard portion - fresh crispy chips and batter. Shop and petrol near by. Avoid the rainy season. Big effective drying room otherwise.
