Over the past few weeks since getting back from Ireland I've had more and more trouble finding nuetral on my thunderbird LT. The gear lever either locked up completely or bounced through nuetral to second, or from second back into first; it was so frustrating I took a trip into my local dealer. Turns out it was just the linkages on the gear lever that needed lubing. Has anybody else had a similar problem? Wessa
Early blade and gsx1400 bikes used to do similar as the fit on the link rod had quite a lot of play - this caused road dirt etc to make the lever tight. Strip down - lubricate and hey presto - problem gone.
That's the irish booby trap ....... for taking away bits of Ireland, you must return them or worse will follow .......
