Where Do All The Tank Badges And Fuel Taps Go?

Just wondering if anyone has any idea where these items disappear to. I recently bought a full set of bodywork for a 2002 Bonnie (Brand new in box as it were) and everything is there except the badges and fuel tap, although their is a fuel tap seal kit. I also bought another slightly battered slive (2005 or thereabouts?) fuel tank as a spare to paint up and the fella that sold me it didn't have the tap or badges for it either. On ebay there is one scabby looking tap for sale (£35) and no badges for a 2001 Bonnie. Where on earth do they all go.

I take it you need an adaptor as well as the tap with those Pingel ones @half ton so that seems to take it up to £150 which seems a bit expensive for a wee tap.

Which badges are you looking for?

I was also interested in the 'Classic' if that is the one mounted on the Hinckley Thunderbirds as I had heard and @MadMrB also sent me some links which suggested they would fit a 2001 bonnie and the 'mouth organ' ones are, by far, my favourite ever Bonnie badges. I refuse to be robbed so there is no way I would pay the ridiculous prices being asked on ebay. I love 'em but I don't love, or need, 'em that much.

Those do look just the ticket @BA_martin . Are they the original metal version or the plastic version that they went to after the move to Thailand? Do they include the rubber 'gasket' that they are meant to sit on? I am guessing the rubber gasket thingy is probably even harder to find than the badges. What sort of money would you be looking for?

Let me check in the garage tomorrow. Everything should be there as they are the original (and heavy, so postage is not going to be cheap) "BNIB". All four types are interchangeable and I got them to fit to a 2005 America, but decided to fit the later (non-knee pad) version instead, so have them spare.

Great stuff! My current bodywork is wearing those exact ones but I have a complete set of new 2002 Sky blue and silver that I want to change the bike over to and would rather have separate badges for that bodywork so I can re-finish the original Green and Silver 2001 bodywork (though not neccessarily in the original scheme) and keep it's badges in place rather than have to chop and change whenever I want to change the bikes 'clothes'.

So....I have the Eyebrow badges installed on my America at the moment, but do chop and change and have a set of Classic (Harmonic) and Bonneville badges I use, plus the spare pair of brand new Bonneville badges (that come with the rubbers). So I can let one of the Bonneville sets go, either the brand new pair or the ones I have used (still look perfect to me). If you want either ping me a message with an offer. The badges don't come with the mounting screws, although I remember buying a box of stainless security Torx screws in the right size (not the Triumph parts) so will search and see if I have a couple of spares.

Reviving a bit of ancient threadery - I am looking for some badges that will fit my America tank. I stuck some decals on there for the time being but they just don't do it for me. Any ideas guys?
