Well lads i'm thinking of getting another bike ......Yes i know i have two but the GTR is still in bits and im concerned about Pens engine rattle that nobody seems to know what it is without a full strip so i thought get another one to ride this summer . I have three in mind ( see pics) . Triumph Trophy with 16000 miles or a ZZR1100 with 23000 miles or......only kidding what do you think. I love the ZZR1100s i had one years ago and they are a great bike. I dont know much about the early Trophys other than they suffer from the sprag clutch issue the 900s suffered with . Any thoughts ?
The Trophy's carry their (not small) weight high, and when loaded up with full panniers can be a handful. Strong motor though and no sprag clutch issues SO LONG AS you ensure tip-top battery condition. Personally I would go for the ZZR - just a fantastic machine altogether.
The Trophy is up for 1095 Pounds(in the north) The ZZR1100 2500 Euro both private. 2500 euro would be my limit i suppose unless something amazing came along . I Think (hope to) i can get the ZZR for 2000 as i know his out of work and needs it gone.

Try the cam chain ! My 94 trident got rattling after 90,000 or it might be the balance shaft, my trident made some weird noises just before bearings and shaft went east !! @ 56,000 hope that helps .?.?.? Cheers capt
