    I've always liked the CB1000R.
It's a kinda factory built naked Fireblade Streetfighter.

Here's the model I think is lovely :yum...

    Honda, you've ruined it guys!
I don't care if the new version is faster & it handles better etc. It looks sh!t! :(

Looks more "cafe - racer - retro" (ish) type thing. Gets good reviews on the net though.

They have tried to hard to give it that streetfighter look but seem to have lost something by doing that...prefer the original....

And the lazy stylists have stuck the numberplate and rear light on a girder cos they couldn’t be bothered to put it in the right place.

Honda dragged their heels with the original one for far too long and got left behind both in form and function.
I had a '60 plate and although it was reliable the suspension was 5hite with loads of people upgrading on the forums. The power output was nothing special and it was too heavy.
The 2nd version got an extra 20 bhp or so but that is what the 1st version should have had 5 years earlier :sob:
Now we are talking super nakeds having 170 - 208 bhp so where does that put the CB with its ~143 output???
Not anywhere near the likes of Aprillia, Ducati, Kawasaki H2 etc.... thats for sure

Come on Honda, give us something to wet the appetite function wise and wrap it up well, style wise?

If the likes of MV Augusta can do a cracking styling job, (despite the limited/poor service back up) then why can't Honda put their reliability and strengths into a copy ?

I do agree with that but 180-208 claimed bhp is way too much for our roads and in most cases a 100 more bhp than most riders will ever use.

Never bothered to look through it to check its contents. But it definitely looks better than the latest CB1000R.

    Here, see for yourself...
