Higher or lower? Even untreated uncleaned, that should be a couple of winters at least. My guess is 3 yrs.
No not hard to believe as most are made of monkey metal, as I stated in my first post that would look like that after 12 months in a severe Scottish winter , my mate has a Chinese bike and its pure shite, and the insurance is higher that his 600 Honda, they are like condoms, buy them use them and throw them away.
You are correct they have, Don't get me wrong some are good that is the ones like Herald that are stripped upon arrival into this country and fitted with better equipment and paint jobs, but straight from china, no thanks I would sooner have a old Jap bike for the money.
Well I was going to say a couple of months, pretty good condition for a chinese bike of almost three years. My stepson bought one a few years ago, didn't even get it home from the dealership before it broke down, he ended up scrapping it after 18 months, was an absolute pile of shite
Should have put his cash into a good used Jap bike...which is exactly what I told my stepson before he ignored my advice!
I REALLY like the way the pillion footpeg folds aerodynamically into the sculptured alloy hanger. Quality. The remainder, however ...................................
Ive see 10 year old bikes, round the back of sheds look in nicer condition. Poor little sod. All he wants is the bike he should have got.
Yes I've seen them and they really do concern me as the youngsters can't afford much else. Now if that bike was built here it would be hit with all types of reg's as it is an import it arrives and is sold no checks. Now you know Why Triumph moved. They rot from the inside out someone said it monkey metal. Seen them with wheel bearing gone within a hundred miles brakes seized fifty miles electrics failing fifty miles. And the idiots here tear any British builder to pieces. Regards Joe.
Indeed. Some people assume that just because they look a bit similar and come from a similar part of the world that the Japanese and the Chinese are much like each other, completely wrong! The Japanese are all about being the best - through producing the best product they possibly can, to the highest level. The Chinese are simply a bunch of f***ing scammers who would turn over anyone to make a fast buck. If kept under strict control they can produce some decent stuff but left to their own devices I wouldn't buy toilet paper from them given a choice. As far as the British government allowing them to build nuclear power stations here, well. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I helped my daughter buy a used YBR125 eight years ago, it’s had chain and sprockets and a fuel pump, standard stuff but it still looks really good despite being stored outside under a cover.
You would never have guessed it was only 10 weeks old. Oh my how much was the bike? Edit: I should have read all the posts, £2k for that pile of shite. Here is a link to the Sales of Goods Act. Clause 14 is the one to review..... http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1979/54
