    Hi all, thanks for approving me. I have a 2017 Thunderbird Storm which has now produced a squeak from the rear end at low and high speeds. Any advice?? I have tried washing down (even though she is in need of another clean) but doesn’t seem to cha

    Let’s assume you don’t have a mouse riding pillion.

    Give the shock absorber bushes and piston rod a squirt of WD40 or similar. See if the noise disappears or changes.

    Check alignment and rub some candle wax on the sides :)

    You can also use silicone spray polish on the belt, it will definitely cure the squeaking belt.....

    Hi Ian, yep standard Storm belt chirp. There are two trains of thought on this:
    1. Spend a lot of time trying to align the tyres exactly
    2. The Triumph recommended belt tension is too great and needs to be slackened slightly.
    There is no definitive on it however and the options to mask it is either silicon spray or candle wax on the side of the belt.
