    So in readiness for the Scottish trip next weekend, Waspy and I went to suss out Ijmuiden where the ferry leaves from.
    We stop for fish and chips and investigate a part of the Atlantic Wall where there are several WW2 German bunkers.

    Ha. The ferry was in whilst I was there. It’s a big bugger. Waspy should fit in there quite nicely

    Nice pictures again Nikki but I see from that picture of food that your still not allowed to have any sharps, that’s proper knife and fork:laughing:

    Nope, they said I was a dangerous biker and only gave me a wooden fork. Hopefully they have mushy peas in Scotland, but 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. When I saw outside it was advertising fish and chips, I had to do an emergency stop. :cool:

    It’s not mayo but remoulade sauce. Which is very popular over here with fried fish.

    Isn’t Mayo and chips a delicacy in the Netherlands or is it just Belgium :rolleyes:

    No it is here too Dave, it’s just that the fish automatically came with the remoulade. I suppose I could’ve asked for mayo but I was happy dipping my chips in the remoulade.

    Good decision Nikki, because knowing all the picky gourmets on the trip I doubt Dougie will take us anywhere near a chippy.

    Oh no. I was rather hoping to grab some nice fish chips and peas. That’s a real delicacy for me these days. Maybe Dougie will relent :)

    Tell you what Nikki, you, me and AndyPandy can go awol in Oban and mosey over to the chippy Andy introduced us to there last trip .... bloomin' marvelous. Oh, and on the July trip I'm planning on a lunchtime stop at the chippy voted best in Scotland not so long ago.
