me and a mate had a run down to visit the Steve Hislop Statue in Hawick today, absolutely glorious day
Steve was one of Scotlands most successful Circuit and road racer, having won the British Superbike Championship twice and the TT 11 times.the Statue is in Wilton lodge park and there is a room in the museum dedicated to Hizzy with some of his racing bikes, cups and other memorabilia

Hope you don't mind me adding to your thread, but I was at the Isle of Man TT a few weeks ago and I visited the memorial to Hizzy at Onchan. He was a great rider that's for sure, here are a few pictures.

After reading the above post I had a ride up to Hawick today to see the Hizzy and Jimmie Guthrey displays, well worth the 102 mile ride.
