My husband had a 2015 Triumph Bonneville T214 Limited Edition that I would now like to sell as he recently passed away. I have no idea what the bike is worth, any suggestions?

He rode it very little (about 200 km on it), due to ill health, but he was able to make some modification's to it - new mirrors, billet fork brace, handlebar risers, fork transformation kit, shock absorbers, exhaust system and there is a centre stand for it.

I understand the Limited Edition means very little in terms of value. I live in Canada.

Any help would be gratefully received! Thank you.

Sorry to hear your husband's no longer with us. It's not an ideal time to sell a bike so if you can wait until spring you'll probably stand a better chance. If you look through those adverts Tim has posted that will give you an idea, though with such low milage it'll obviously be worth a bit more than one with average use. You should get somewhere between what private buyers want and the what dealers are pricing theirs at. All the extras on the bike will make little difference to what a dealer will offer you so finding a private buyer will probably be your best bet? Good luck

Thank you, that’s given me a bit more insight! I was going to wait until early Spring, but I have someone who is interested, but I wasn’t sure what to ask. Thanks again.

Good afternoon Tadleyorigin, firstly I am so sorry to hear of your loss, this must be a devastating time for you and my thoughts go out to you. Regarding your late husband's machine it is in my view one of the most striking Bonneville to be produced. The Limited Edition Bonneville T214 celebrates the achievements of the Texan born racer Johnny Allen, and his record-breaking Triumph-powered Cee-Gar streamliner, that in 1956, set the first of many land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats by recording a two-way average of 214.4mph. The T214 Triumph Bonneville was named in tribute to the Texas Cee-Gar team’s record-setting efforts. This particular limited edition model Bonneville does however attract a far better price than other models. Here in the UK this would sell for around £6500 pounds, that is around 11000 Canadian Dollars in a private sale, to sell to a dealer you would be looking around the 8000 Canadian Dollar mark, please don't part with it for any silly offers despite what some dealers may try to tell you, it is a shame you did not reside here in the UK as it would undoubtedly have sold pretty quick. Good luck with the sale and wishing you all the very best in these difficult times.

Thank you for your kind words. That valuation is a lot more than I thought! I’m trying to avoid the dealership route as I want someone to have it that will love it, and enjoy it, the way my husband did., even though he hardly got to ride it. I definitely won’t “give” it away. Thanks again for your input.
