    Hi,
Has anyone fitted upgraded shocks to their Bonnie? Heard that very noticeable improvements can be made over the standard ones. Also heard that fitting Thruxton shocks -360mm instead of 340mm for the Bonnie can offer a further benefit.
    Any thoughts?
Same goes for the fork brace, if anyones fitted one it would be great to hear from you.
    Cheers
    Steve

Yeah, std shocks can be improved. I tried hagon but at 340mm thought line of bike was improved with longer shocks. (ON SE Version) but got some gas shocks very good price from www.tecbikeparts.com talk to George, he races and knows his stuff. They do braces as well. Be careful with Bonnies and make sure you mention std Bonnie or SE especially when talking progressive front springs and centre stands. We did Belgium over a weekend recently, and forgot all about suspension.

Thanks mate, I did wonder about the longer shock as I've seen online that quite a few Bonnie owners have fitted these as an option. It was the TEC ones that caught my eye at £59.99 per pair!
Might just wait a while though as I've only had the bike 3 months and only done 2000 miles, so whilst an upgrade might offer some improvement, I probably wouldn't appreciate it at the moment.

Any one else done any techbikeparts.com upgrades?
Their centre stand is cheap- any good? Is it easy to use & well balanced?

They don't do one for Bonne SE with aftermarket pipes George will tell you. My pal used their centre stand on std Bonnie and is happy with it. Again check with George advise him of which pies you have or intend.

OK thanks for the info.Have put in an order for a stand, fork springs and rear springs.Anyone know if I really can fit the longer springs from the Scrambler to my 2013 T100, as I am trying to get a bit more height on the bike for my legs to ground.

Update: George at Techbikeparts says I can fit the 365mm Thruxton springs OK, are 10pc stronger too BUT the centre stand will work but not lift the wheel off the ground, need a block of wood to do that.I can live with that to get a higher ride for pillion work. Will report back on parts when fitted.
