So I've been emailing my MP and the London Mayor about the proposed expansion to the ulez congestion zone. Looks like it will go ahead in spite of cost of living crisis. I live just inside the new border so will have to replace my car, and maybe the triumph. Bikes after 2007 are OK but my thunderbird is 95. I'm booked into the one garage in London authorised to check nox levels and update the government database . My neighbours aging Harley passed so maybe there is hope. The garage website says ANY bike can be made compliant. I guess that means potentially chopping out some exhaust tubing and putting in a catalytic converter. I'm ok with that as long as the Thunderbird does not lose its overrun pop and burble. Has anyone had any experience if this?
