Picking up my 2016 speed triple 1050R from Pure Triumph in Wellingborough on 3rd March. Just in time for fresh snowfall ! After much encouragement from my lovely wife and her lovely 675R. Both models in white so undecided if we'll look cool or a bit naff. Either way it's still romantic in my eyes. Annoying thing is her power to weight ratio is far superior to mine. Bless her. Had to retire from my 99 R1. Time takes it toll. Power isn't what it used to be, not as nimble as I remember and weight has bizarrely increased. Bikes fine after 15 years of abuse. Tis me that's failing. Well we're both Grandparents now. Huge difference between bikes. As I explained to non biking friends. The triumph is like a nice meal at your favourite restaurant with a pleasing wine. While the R1 is like dropping a couple of E's and going raving for the weekend. So big hello to everyone and thanks for having us.
Welcome to the madhouse you both should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we need photos. Tucker
Welcome buddy I know the feeling about the sports bike . My previous bike was a 2003 R1 5PW. She was a great handling, fast and nimble motor But my back was telling me something else . I couldn't do the ass up in the air, chest on the tank things anymore . So decided to jump on the Street Triple 675R and am loving it . You are going to love the Speedie. Very much looking forward to the pics buddy
