Adapter arrived and have connected to bike with my tablet and all works great, really good bit of software for the price of just under £12. It looks like you can’t access the map on the ECU with the app software, is that correct?
Good to hear, I assume you're connected via bluetooth in which case no you can't read or load new maps. If you want to load a new map you will have to use a cable connection (but then you can't access a couple of the functions you can with bluetooth).
I am no expert at tune ecu but I have used it. I know you can download tunes with a cable and a laptop. I think you can seriously screw up your bike if you do it wrong. It’s crucial to read all of the instructions and guides to avoid a costly mistake. Not sure what functionality is possible with the cable and tablet. Swot up before acting. Best of luck Taff
I just want to know what map number is and use it as diagnostic software if I ever need it, I’m not touching fuel map table.
Hopefully someone with the tablet app can answer. I only have the pc version so I don’t know sorry. Taff
I've always used Windows laptop when accessing maps, but according to the web site it should be possible via the Android app providing you are cable connected. Just reading the current map number should be relatively risk free. As previously mentioned be careful when accessing maps, it comes with risk, thoroughly research (TuneECU site, here and others) and abide by warnings - it's essential to maintain voltage above 12v and obviously use the correct map. If in the future you're wanting to reset the service indicator you'll need a Bluetooth dongle.
Yes, similar electricery....but not the same. (but they probably should have guessed what you meant.) From your earlier thread you don't have ABS so you don't need that bleed function, but I'm assuming at some stage you intend doing your own maintenance ?... and I'm guessing your bike is new enough to have the service spanner nag on the dash, so at that point you'll need the bluetooth dongle. It should work with your Galaxy Tab E once paired (see here), or from your laptop if that has bluetooth. As said previous, if you have an android phone you carry with you when riding anyway then the dongle is ideal kept under the seat in case of emergency.
Ive checked both app and pc version and no sign of the service reset function, Its only on 8,200 miles and will be doing annual oil changes until big service which I may at least get valve clearance done at main stealer, so wont need to do reset myself till then, if I still own it by then that is.
You have been paying attention haven't you! As I've mentioned on this thread and the "2018 Quick Shift / Blipper On 2014 Model?" thread you posted on ...... Service Reset is only available via Android with a Bluetooth connection! As I understand from your posts you have a wired connection at present? It's not included in the Windows app at all, in the Android app you'll find it under Adjustments but probably not visible until you have an active bluetooth connection to your ecu. The process is also shown here - http://www.irx.productions/dont-get...cator-wrench-icon-on-your-triumph-motorcycle/
lol I thought it was: You can only do service reset with Android app if you use the Bluetooth adapter. Not: The ONLY way you can do a service reset is with the Android app and a Bluetooth adapter!
It's only my opinion (I have no connection to them) but I've always assumed it's just a couple of guys with a hobby. The Windows version has been around for years (about 10 to my knowledge) and has always been free. Only more recently have they ported to Android and understandably concentrating on that for the more recent added functionality. Don't blame them for making a few quid out of it, still a bargain IMO. "Dealertool" is a fair bit more. ........and if you buy a newer bike you've no option but take it to your "local" stealer. (no fun for me.... 3hour round trip!)
Tuneecu shows fuel tables for all cylinders ! So if you hook up to a single, one map, twin 2 triple 3 etc ... !
